The 54th Annual Grammy Awards were the second most viewed Edition, with 39 million viewers, since Michael Jackson-"Thriller" mania in 1984. We can certainly attribute these to Whitney Houston’s death. The singer and actress, Jennifer Hudson, had the honor to paid an emotional tribute to Whitney singing her version of I will always love you.
Meanwhile, british singer Adele, return triumphant to the stage after undergoing vocal cord surgery with a pretty decent performance of Rolling in the Deep. She emulates Houston by winning six awards including the prestigious trifecta of record, song and album of the year. Her victories tied her with Beyonce as the most wins by a woman in one evening. Adele definitively was the queen of the night.
Singer and actress Whitney Houston, winner of six Grammy Awards including record of the year for "I Will Always Love You" and album of the year for "The Bodyguard," died at age 48 on February 11, 2012. The unfortunate death was the day before the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards, in Los Angeles. A phenomenal star has gone! We will miss you!!!
Ok, ok the NY Giants did an awesome job, but Queen Madge was the absolute 2012 Super Bowl winner!!! Her performance during the Halftime Show was amazing. Who says she is 53 with that body, dance moves, energy and style? I think she made a pact with the devil ;)! Hits like Vogue, Music, Like a Prayer and elements like roman soldiers, breakdancers, tightrope walkers, cheerleaders and a marching band were the perfect complement to Madonna’s performance. Special appearances of LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. and Cee Lo Green were the cherry on top of the ice cream. BRAVO!!!
